I don&#8217;t need game servers, email, news and the plethora of other services ISP&#8217;s offer to entice new customers into their fold.<\/p>\n<p>For the last few years I&#8217;ve been running with <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nildram.net\">Nildram<\/a> and I have to say I&#8217;m in general very pleased with their service but there are aspects to it that I think they could improve upon.  For example, there&#8217;s all those services that I don&#8217;t want.  Surely they could do themselves (and me) a favour by offering a raw service consisting of nothing more than a connection?  Then there&#8217;s the reverse DNS service: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nildram.net\">Nildram<\/a> offer a way to modify a single address, but no solution for people like me who have a subnet.  If I want me reverse DNS changed, I have to send them a support request.  It&#8217;s a minor irritation but with all the competition out there, it might be the thing that tips the scales.<\/p>\n<p>Last but not least, something I&#8217;d love to have is a whois entry against my subnet that points back to me, rather than my ISP.
