Microwave Oven

We need a new microwave before we move to St Mellion. The old one at Lou’s is rusting out at the top and it’s never worth moving something that heavy if it’s on the verge of falling apart. If we start off with a decent combination oven, there’s a chance we might decide not to have a real oven at all and can manage with just a hob and the Rayburn.

After a little research, the Panasonic NN-A873SBBXQ is looking favourite. As with all domestic appliances, there seems to be a tendancy for websites to munge the product code. Perhaps they don’t like people searching for things. Best price at the moment is around £240 from Electrical Discount UK. Also need to keep an eye on Comet who appear to have the white version for £30 less.

  1. Hi Steve

    Welcome to St Mellion!

We have the dental clinic just down the road at Briston Orchard, so if you ever need a filling you know where to look!

St Mellion is a great village but the technology is a bit behind the times, we have had huge problems getting broadband, were even discussing having our own exchange installed at the units as BT were so slow. You probably won’t be surprised to learn that the St Dominick exchange is one of the oldest in the country and therefore one of the last to have broadband coverage – and it still isn’t great (at least it’s here sometimes)!

  2. Hi Amelia,

Thanks for the welcome. You timed it very well as today is the first time our Internet connection has worked properly. I’m hoping it’s not a temporary fix!

Lou and I are now living in the Old Post Office with three children, Kieran(12), Jade(15) and Kyle(16). We all like the village and will no doubt be coming in to pay the dental clinic a visit in the near future. Look forward to meeting you.
